Similar to bad weather hit the northern region the night before, City swept United away at the Etihad. It was a statement 3-0 win for their manager's side owing to goals from Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a performance that truly announced their championship potential as they strengthened their standing at the WSL pinnacle.

Consecutive Losses for United

This outcome signalled consecutive league defeats for Skinner's side for the first time since May 2024, placing them a sizable gap off the league leaders with their championship aspirations hanging by a thread.
