Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's bout.
Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
